Since she was a child, Gianna’s obsession with beauty was apparent. After graduating from college with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, she still wanted to pursue her passion and enrolled in Beauty Industry Essentials. Gianna spoke with Yellowbrick about her student success and her future plans.
ON CHOOSING BEAUTY INDUSTRY ESSENTIALS —
Ever since I was young, I loved looking through Allure. I always was inspired by the beauty content in these magazines. I enrolled in the Beauty Industry Essentials online course so I could have a better understanding of the processes that go into creating products. The online course was unique because I have a deep passion for the beauty industry.
ON BEING A YELLOWBRICK STUDENT —
Introduction to Fragrances was a very informative course. It taught me that there are many different fragrance notes such as citrus and spice notes. In addition, there is a lot that goes into the process of developing scents.
ON REAL-LIFE APPLICATION —
I gave this online course a chance because I am very interested in the business side of the industry. It prepared me by showing me the different fields you can work in and showing me that I have to work really hard in this industry because it is constantly growing.
ON THE PAST & WHAT’S NEXT —
I work at Amazon now. However, in the future, I hope to work in beauty marketing for either Revlon or Estee Lauder.
