Special & visual effects artists (also known as a VFX artist) use computer technology and software to create optical effects and animations for television shows. They design, animate, light, and composite high-quality effects from inception to completion. They create simulations and mockups for approval by directors and editors. VFX artists make storyboards to understand what type of images may be needed for the storyline and their placement.
